Como dato las french potato o papas fritas, allá se dice que el origen es belga y que los franceses le robaron la receta y se apropiaron del origen. Cuentan que los habitantes pobres de Belgica tenían la costumbre de comer pescado frito, un año un rio se congelo -lugar donde se dice que proviene el origen- y tuvieron como recurso freir las papas. Luego el termino frances fue acuñado ya que el idioma oficial del ejercito belga de esos tiempos era ese.
Debo reconocer que las mejores papas fritas de mi vida las he comido en Bélgica.
